I remembered during renting a house at Pesona Villa form 2010-2011.
I was thankful that I got a job in Texas just before Humaira borned. And I managed to get an apartment at Pesona Villa D-3-12 for a renting of RM600 a month and the maintenance will be paid by the Owner. It was affordable, and the owner was a Malay-Muslim-Soldier. So I though, i will not have any probs with this "High disciplinary" owner (Not!).
I was bonded for a year with 2 months deposit and RM300 for electricity where i signed on 11 May 2010 (nearly middle of the month). Before i entered, his friend(Person i negotiate with was a soldier as well) promised to changed the toilet bowl, the curtain rails and even the piping. But after awhile, nothing come into resultant, but it was a small matter, i dont really bothered about it.
First month, It has been a nice and flawless for me, where i get the paint changed just before my wife and Aisyah came in. After they came in, i just realized that one of our toilet bowl was giving us problem where the flush was not working properly, so we can just using only one toilet
Then I received electricity bill where it shown that I had used it more than a month, i told to the owner&his friend, and they said that they gonna pay half of it. So i use my money first, but until now, they not giving my money back!
Then we received the notice from the Maintenance saying that it is final call for paying the service bill otherwise they will cut out our water. I checked with the maintenance and i was shocked that the owner owed the maintenance a thousand plus!...That's really give me some a fear notice. But i just ignored it and i mentioned to the owner about this, I asked him to pay for it, i suggested to use my rent to pay for the service, and he agreed. He deposited RM300 to my bank account and asked me to pay for it. The maintenance only open at 11.30am till 7.30pm. I worked from 7am till 7pm, so i need to excuse from my work to pay the maintenance.
Then I thought i would just pay the maintenance and no need to pay the owner until the service settled, but he asked me to pay him instead of maintenance. I've already discussed with him and signed on behalf of him to pay monthly RM150 to the maintenance, so i just pay the rent RM450 only, yes for that moment and no for the next rent.So, the maintenance mounting again after the owner refuse to pay for it.Hurmmm...
Then, after two months of renting, the owner asked me whether or not i would like to buy his place for RM135k. He said that he give me RM5k off, it was so expensive for an apartment without lift and at the sky limit level (4th). I found advertisement saying that the apartment -alike my apartment was sold only RM90k.
So i say no...
The miserable started when he called an agent and start to sell the house. The agent always caught me problems where she always come to visit the house and make appointment with the buyers, and not only her, but the owner done it as well. The owner said to me that he will give me RM500 for compliances with this situation and he will notify me 1 month prior from this sale for me to get out from his house.
So early nov, i've decided not to sign off with Texas for the "Manufacturing Executive" position, why? I'll let you know on the next post. So i've asked the owner whether or not I will be obtaining my deposit if i want to go out from his house even not 1 year. According to the agreement, i will get my money back on a mutual agreement even if i didnt completed the 1 year contract. That's why i am asking him for it. He never answered by question!!!
Dec2010, he asked me whether or not i want to get out from his apartment, i say probably yes and I asked him again regarding the deposit, but no answers! I've still paying for the rent, so by default i have the right to stay and complete the 1 year or even until 1 Jan2011. We decided to stay at Lipis since I am no longer working and our belongings were still at Pesona Villa.

So, that was thing happen, today 1 year of the contract completed, and i have the advise from the lawyer. All of i have to do is to find the justice! make doa, insyaAllah!
